Missing Barb
What kind of anniversary wouldn't one want to celebrate?
The 15th of April is the due date for US citizens to file tax returns, which almost surely causes some folks to dislike the date. For me, though, it marks the day that Barbara Bateman died. That’s not cause for me to celebrate. I’d much prefer that she was happily alive (and kicking) so we could celebrate Barb’s birthday, 14 June.
She had an outsized influence on me, both my career and my personal life. In her honor, I posted this note with a link back to my recollection of her that I wrote the day she died.
In case you don’t get the drift, I miss her.
