Thank you for sharing about your colleague. I didn't get to meet JohnM but it sounds like he would have been a professor for classes that I would have enjoyed. I also really enjoyed the picture you included - so many amazing people in that picture!!
I enjoyed reading about JohnM (I don't think I ever had a class with him) and your enthusiasm teaching in one of his classes -- it brought a smile to my face! It reminded me of the collegial nature of the faculty at UVa, something I missed when I transferred to the University of Denver because of love! Thank you, too, for posting a picture of the talented faculty I had the chance to learn from 26 years ago!

Now, about the arithmetic. That photo is from about 26 years ago, but as I recall, you were here something like 20-some years before that photo. We all (teehee) probably looked even younger at that time!
