Year 6 begins with new images
What might be forthcoming in the newest volume for the special education community
Forecasting future events is not one of my strongest skills. To be sure, I can do okay with predicting some natural events (e.g., rising and setting celestial objects), but when it comes to sports or such, I miss as often as I hit. However, I can predict, dear readers, that you will see a new look for SET.
One of the changes in SET is its visual image. Readers will see both new art here and there as well as changes in layout and type face. Probably the most obvious change is that SET has a new image that readers will find scattered over the site. In it’s simplest form, it is this:

This image is the work of Bill LeSueur of Bill LeSueur Creative here in Charlottesville. The image carries interesting ideas for. me. One can see it as a bridge with light globes above the rails. One can also see it as a group of individuals standing arms over shoulders, supporting and collaborating with each other. And, one can see in it a set of portals to another area behind or heyond the surface. Mayhaps you, dear readers will see something else in SET’s new image. Please provide your thoughts in the comments.
I really appreciate Bill’s work on this logo and the following logotype. Bill, who has responsibilities for office-like regular work at McGuffey Art Center, is also associated with the arts work such as Live Arts in this little neck of the woods. So, if you’re ever in the ‘hood, check around and learn about local arts here…maybe you’ll bump into Bill and you can tell you saw some of his work right here.
I’ll be making additional predications about SET sixth volume in the coming days and weeks. Stay tuned.
