The Learning Disabilities Strategy Summit is coming

On 7 September 2025 Special Education Today ran a story entitled “LD Strategies Summit.” The “summit” is an afternoon’s worth of brief sessions called the “Learning Disabilities Strategy Summit.” It is due to occur 16 October 2025.

The list of presenters reads like a who’s who of advocates for evidence-based instruction. Speakers are David Bateman, Shawn Datchuk, Michael Faggella-Luby, Holly Lane, Erica Lembke, Jonte Myers, Breda O’Keeffe, Sarah Powell, Jessica Toste, Margaret (Peggy) Weiss, and Bradley Witzel.

Don’t let the reference to “LD” fool you. The content of these sessions will be appropriate for teachers working with students who need to learn reading, writing, arithmetic…regardless of special education category.
