Paul Offit expressed concern about autism recommendations
What concerns him about the policies of the US Secretary of Health & Human Services?
Over on Beyond the Noise, pediatrician and immunologist, Paul Offit published an editorial under the headline “RFK Jr.’s Latest Disservice to Children with Autism” that readers of Special Education Today will likely find of interest. In the column, which appeared 7 April 2026, Professor Offit explained his concerns about the directions for autism in which Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. (US Secretary of Health and Human Services), is leading US health care. He focused much of the column on the recommendation for using leucovorin in treating autism.

Regular readers will likely remember that leucovorin has been the subject of earlier posts on SET. See these examples: 23 September 2025, 1 November 2025,, and 10 March 2026 (some of these links point to posts available only to supporting subscribers).
Although some readers have probably heard ill-founded criticisms—even accusations—of Dr. Offit, I consider him a trusted source who argues from evidence and with good reason. Learn more about Paul Offit from his personal Website (advertising his books) and from the Wikipedia entry about him.
