Readers, I don’t want to prattle on here. Instead, I want to get out of your way so you can help with identifying organizations in your neighborhood (whether a county or a country) that are admirable resources for kids with disabilities and their families.

Who are the people in your neighborhood who provide support to parents of kids with disabilities and their kids?

Let’s do a little crowd-sourcing. There is a legally-mandated and financially supported network of organizations in the various countries. Two questions:

  • What do folks know about these orgs? Have you used them? What are they offering? Where georgraphically are those that you have used? How can parents contact them?

  • Are these organization, regarless of their location on Earth, you’ve found helpful? Where are they? What do they offer? How have you used them? How can parents and eductors contact them?

Let’s generate a catalog, a list, of resrouces for parents and educators around the world. Lets help teachers and parents find assistance.

Here are some starter paths:

  • Parent Cennter Hub United States

  • Raising Children with Disabilities Australia

  • Groups that can support you New Zealand

  • European Agency for Special Needs and Inclusive Education

Please, dear readers of Special Education Today, add your observations about these and other groups’ assistance for children and youths with disabilities and their families.

  • New First
  • Chronological
