Old Andrew reposted an insightful article
What is in his irreverent—cheeky, maybe?—post about innovation in education?
Over on Andrew Old’s Education Battleground one can regularly find lots of good content. Sometimes (often?) Andrew lampoons the pony poop that one finds promoted in “education” sources on the Intertubes. He’s been doing this for a long time—nigh on 1.5 decades, at least.
On 25 January 2026, he reposted a slightly modified post that had originally appeared on the Word Press incarnation of his blog. It is entitled “FROM THE ARCHIVES: Why it is Annoying to Discuss Teaching Methods: Some debates never grow old” (emphasis in the original). Even though the post is a bit long in the tooth (original from 2011), it is still quite relevant. I heartily encourage readers to slip over to Andrew Old’s Education Battleground and read it.
