Writing for US National Public Radio on 20 October 2021, Deepa Shivaram reported that the US American Academy of Pediatrics said, “the mental health crisis among kids has become a national emergency.”

A coalition of the nation's leading experts in pediatric health has issued an urgent warning declaring the mental health crisis among children so dire that it has become a national emergency.

Mental health issues too often are ignored or given passing consideration at best. Our kids deserve better.

Read Ms. Shivaram’s report: Pediatricians say the mental health crisis among kids has become a national emergency. Also, please see my post from earlier this week about the US Department of Education’s work on the topic.
