The Council for Exceptional Children’s Kuna Tavalin will host a Webinar on 12 November 2026 during which she will discuss the influence of the US elections on policies in special education and disability. The event, which is free and open to both members and non-members of CEC, is planned for 4:00 PM (Eastern US time); registration is (I think) required.
As of the publication of this reminder about the event, the results of the US mid-term elections should be mostly clear. Given Ms. Tavalin’s expertise and connectedness with US policy related to special education and disability, this should be a valuable Webinar.
SET should not be confused with a product that uses essentially the same name and is published by the Council for Exceptional Children. SET predated CEC’s publication by decades. Despite my appreciation for CEC, this product is not designed to promote that organization nor should the views expressed here be considered to represent the views or policies of that organization. A membership in CEC does not get one a subscription to SET and vice versa!
