K. Burbank on voting and disabilities
What can one do to help ensure individuals with disabilities can exercise their franchise?
With an important U.S. election looming, Kris Burbank has a valuable post supporting the importance of ensuring access to voting over on Another Normal. It’s under the headline, “Get Out the Vote,” but it’s about more than just ensuring that people can vote.
In addition to her argument for access she provided links to resources. Although I think this post should be of general interest to readers of Special Education Today, I think it’s especially important for those of us who work with individuals with disabilities who have voting privileges, for parents of adults with disabilities, and for advocates for individuals with disabilities.
Here’s a link and Ms. Burbank’s lede for “Get Out the Vote” from Another Normal.
