Guiding youths through post-secondary waters
Might this discussion be considered as "adults only?"
While perusing “Five Feet Away” on Laura McKenna’s The Great Leap, I learned about Kris Burbank’s Another Normal. Attentive readers will remember that I have previously recommended Ms. McKenna’s site. Here’s how she described it:
My free e-newsletter, Another Normal, provides information and resources to help young people with disabilities bloom and grow. Every issue goes directly to your inbox, delivering timely and well-curated knowledge about what matters most to you and those you care about. No matter what life holds, your "normal" is whatever you make it. Another Normal helps cut through the clutter so you can enjoy figuring it out along the way.
Here’s a link to “Mentor Matters,” the most recent post from Ms. Burbank.
Now, don’t take seriously my word play about being “adults only.” Although these sites examine topics that are especially relevant for individuals concerned with disabilities during late adolescence and and adulthood, there is content to be learned that can be relevant for those of us concerned about younger individuals with disabilities.
