Kathleen Lynne Lane is one of the leading contributors to special education. She has an appointment at the University of Kansas as Roy A. Roberts Distinguished Professor and Associate Vice Chancellor for Research*. She’s done lots of work on students with emotional and behavioral disorders, multi-tiered systems of instruction, assessment, and myriad other areas.
Kathleen currently serves as co-editor of Remedial and Special Education. She has also been active in national organizations, including in leadership positions for the Council for Children with Behavior Disorders and the Division for Research.
Kathleen sent me this photo just recently. I think it’s getting its debut right here on SET. You can learn lots more about her by consulting the Web page that KU maintains about Kathleen.
* I updated this post 7 September to reflect Kathleen’s KU position accurately.
