Friday catch-up notes—3 April 2026
What tidbits should we have included as full posts this week?
Editor’s note: This post contains snippets about stories, resources, and observations that the SET authors didn’t quite have time to develop into full-blown posts over the past week. I’m hoping we can catch up with our in-boxes. We didn’t want you, Dear Readers, to miss them. Some of them may later appear as a part (or parcel) of a full-blown post.—JohnL

Sarah Powell, pal of SET, appeared on an Anna Stokke’s Chalk & Talk podcast in an episode entitled “Science of Math: The movement everyone’s talking about with Sarah Powell.” (The link here goes to the podcast Web page. The interview is also available on YouTube, which provides the bonus of seeing a few of the giraffe objects that Sarah’s collected.)
Sheldon Braaten is still registering folks for training in S.T.A.R.T. Social Skills Training & Aggression Replacement Techniques 20 and 21 April 2026 in Minnesota. Participants learn background, rationale and skills for teaching prosocial skills using the ART® methods.
Over on Science Forever for 2 April 2026, Holden Thorp discussed autism—and a special episode of Carl the Collector—in a post entitled “For Autism Awareness Month: unexpected changes
A special episode of Carl the Collector for adults and children.”
