Leonard Sax, who has both an M.D. and a Ph.D., published an editorial in the New York Post for 4 September 2026 in which he questioned the broadening of the category of autism. His title tells a bit about his view: “I’m on the spectrum — and so are you! Definition of autism so broad that it’s meaningless.”
Folks who marvel at his advocacy for individuals with disabilities will wan tot know that Chris Ulmer of SBSK published an interview with P and her adoptive parents. This one is a second interview and it’s helpful to watch the earlier interview, too.
The Department of Human Services for south Australians announced grant opportunities for organizations that provide local support service for individuals with disabilities. Applications for Julia Farr Disability Inclusion Grants will be accepted until 16 October 2026. Guidelines and additional content (including information sessions 14 September 2026) are available on the DHS Web site pages about the grant program.
