Over on Science of Reading Classroom, Erin Sharon has a post about her experiences—and successes—supporting literacy instruction in the early grades. In her post, which is entitled “From 43% to 78%: How We Got Here and Why We’re Not There Yet,” Ms. Sharon recounted her observations as a reading coach about progress toward helping prevent decoding problems among young children over her first few years after joining a new (to her) local education agency.
