Chris Ulmer has another interview from SBSK
For Special Books for Special Kids, Chris Ulmer produced a video of his meeting with Kayden. SBSK released the video 23 July 2026.
Kayden is an autistic nonspeaking teenager who is diagnosed with epilepsy. She is unable to communicate through spoken words, but loves connecting with others through hugs, eye contact, and body language. Kayden’s family wants others to know that nonspeaking people often understand far more than many realize and can deeply desire meaningful human connection.
Kayden’s parents provide a lot of the “interview,” but Mr. Ulmer makes extensive efforts to solicit interactions.
Those who have followed SBSK may recall that YouTube has altered its policies and procedures over the years, sometimes with detrimental effects on the community that SBSK has created. Mr. Ulmer published an editorial 22 July 2026 about the most recent incident: “YouTube Disabled Our Comments Again (Are Any Humans Left at YouTube?”
