It is inspiring to see the efforts to support kids with disabilities (and their families and educators) from around the Earth. I especially like seeing streaks of celebration in those efforts. Of course, I'm so accustomed to attending meetings, conferences, and conventions that are venues for the straight-laced, serious, reserved academics (ahem, such as I am), that a party atmosphere is a welcome contrast.
