And this month's AST newsletter...
Why should we care?
Yep, for those who don’t know, the monthly issue (Volume 19 issue 5) of Science in Autism’s newsletter is now available. I’ve been featuring SAT’s work since the days of EBDBlog and TeachEffectively. SAT routinely highlights good [stuff].
Special educators should give a damn, because SAT’s newsetter provides links to evidence-based practices. AST provides excellent information about helping kids and families of kids with autism. It does not promote the latest pop-poop about autism.
Some folks may, on philosphical grounds, disagree with the methods that AST supports, but I’d argue that nothing AST recommends is disagreeable on the basis of good outcomes for kids and their families. AST recommends practices that work, and are considerate of the participating children and parents.
